She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin McNeil and Ethel McNeil (Hickey); her siblings, Nelson McNeil and Lillian Carrier; and her great grandchild Connor.

She is survived by: her children, Richard Smith (Sandra), Diane Gallant (Tommy) of Campbellton, Eileen Gallant (Ron) of Moncton, Anne Gamble (Peter) of Nouvelle, Quebec Joan Gallant (Julien) of Cross Point and Patricia Smith of Campbellton; her sister Mabel Carrier (Gabriel) of Charlo; and her grandchildren, Tommy, Shawn, David, Corey, Jason, Neil, Ryan, Michelle, Julie, Nathalie, Donna, Amanda, Carol and Melissa. She is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great- grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews.
