He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Hume and Edith Hume; his brother Cecil Hume; his sister-in-law Marie Hume; his niece Tanya Hume; his great-nephew Cohen Valiquette; and his pets, Patches and Goldie.

He is survived by: his wife Julie; his brother Dale Hume (Kilby); his sister-in-law Bernie Hume; and his nieces and nephews, Jaime Hume (Amy), Marla Hume (Craig), Kaisa Valiquette (Craig), Alison Paixao (John) and Dawson Hume (Rachael).
