He was predeceased by: his parents, Thorald Leonard Fowler and Ruth Fowler (Henderson). He is survived by: his wife Margarite Fowler (LeBrun); his son Skipp Fowler (Annabel Dupuis Fowler); his grandchildren, Nathaniel and Éloïse Fowler; and his siblings, John Fowler (Lilian Fowler), Vivian Wilband, Joanne Fowler Reid (Ron Reid) and Ruth Fowler Englehart (Ernest Englehart).
Charles worked as a marine engineer until his retirement in 2020 when covid forced him to suspend his travels and slow down for his short-lived retirement.
