He was predeceased by: his parents, George David and Greta Thompson (Roberts); and his siblings, Harvey, Arlen, Herman, Kenneth, Nellie, Ruth, Mary, Gladys, Nora, Norma and Edward.

He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Thompson (Flanagan) of Beersville; his children, Valerie Thompson (Rodney) of Bass River, Lesley Roberts (Colleen) of Bass River and Ernie Roberts of Beersville; and his sister Agnes Langille of Amherst, NS. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
