He was predeceased by: his parents, Ross Wortman and Ardella Wortman (Ward); and his siblings, Vernon, Donald, Malcolm and Elva MacDonald.

He is survived by: his wife Elaine (MacLeod); his children, Tina Dickson (Kelvin) and Trevor (Beth); his grandchildren, Cole, Cassidy Dickson, Cameron, Caitlin and Grayson Wortman; and his sister-in-law Joyce Wortman. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
