He was predeceased by: his parents, Arsène Bastarache and Émilienne Bastarache (Cormier); and his siblings, Gérard, Noël, Prémélite, Marc, Aldéi, Lorenzo, Elmire, Laudia, Simonne and Clarisse.
He is survived by: his wife Andréa; his daughters, Linda Babineau (Daniel) of Sainte-Marie and Lucie Bastarache (Serge) of Haute Aboujagane; his grandchildren, Lyne (Donny) of Sainte-Marie, Annie (Martin) of Saint-Antoine, Johnathan (Sylvie) of Sainte-Marie, Justin and Katelyn of Haute Aboujagane; his great grandchildren, Zac, Bryelle, Andy and Jaxson; and his siblings, Rita LeBlanc (late Alban) of Shediac, Andréa Robichaud (late Alfred) of Saint-Antoine, Laurier (late Stella) of Bellington, MA, Ulysse (Sue) of Saint-Maurice, Régis (Irène) of Dieppe and Raoul (late Marie) of Chéticamp, NS. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
In Sylvio's memory, donations may be made to the CHU DUMONT Foundation or to the Manoir Saint-Jean Baptiste, Bouctouche.
