As Paul departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Paul may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Paul leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his mother Pauline Carroll. He is survived by: his father Herb Despres of Bouctouche; his wife Joanne Despres (Allain); his son James (Hélène) of Shediac; and his sisters, Dianne Despres of Dieppe and Lynn Despres of Bedford, NS. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins as well as all his close friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 5th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 5:30 PM to 6:45 PM at the Maillet Funeral Home (29 Rue de Léglise, Bouctouche, NB E4S2Z5). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, September 5th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church (153 Chem. du Couvent, Bouctouche, NB E4S3B8).
In Paul's memory, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Dr Marguerite Michaud School, music department.
