He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald MacPhail and Violet MacPhail (Bowser); and his siblings, Helen, Gladys, Jean, Malcolm, Jack, Bill, Douglas and Jim.

He is survived by: his wife Marie-Thérèse MacPhail (Jaillet); his children, Joan Reid (Hubert Cormier) of Bouctouche, Kenneth Jr. (Linda) of Baie and Pat (Monique) of Sainte-Anne; and his grandchildren, Brian, Jason, Jérémie and Mélanie.
