She was predeceased by: her husband Ronald McDonald; her parents, Roméo Saulnier and Anna Saulnier (Allain); her children, Marie and Gilles; and her siblings, Rose-May, Normand and Léo (Louise) of Bouctouche.

She is survived by: her children, Diane McDonald of Bouctouche and Charles (Marie-Mai) of Bouctouche; her granddaughters, Sylvie, Monique and Lynn; her great grandchildren, Patrick, Yanick, Shawn and Rémi; her siblings, Rita LeBlanc (late William) of Clinton, MA, Jeannine Girouard (Oscar) of Lancaster, MA and Raoul (Angela) of Bouctouche; and her daughter-in-law Dianne. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
