He was predeceased by: his wife Julienne Caissie (Arsenault); his parents, Edgar Caissie and Elizabeth Caissie (Cormier); and his siblings, Edna, Marianne, Marguerite, Dorilla, Diane, Edouard, Joseph and Raymond.

He is survived by: his children, Marie-Paule McFadden (late Oswald), Yvette Duplessis (Noël), Léo (Annette), Yvon (Jeannine) and Léonard (Toupette); his grandchildren, Nancy, Kathy, Jean-Noël, Oswald Jr., Marc, Réjean, Rachelle, Carolle, Jason and Gerard; and his brothers, Daniel (Bernadette) of Moncton, Hervé (late Louisa) and Gerald of Bouctouche. He is also survived by one brother-in-law and sister-in-law as well several nephews and nieces.
