He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Cormier and Alvida Cormier (Collette); and his siblings, Emélie, Laura, Patricia and Edouard.

He is survived by: his wife Pauline Cormier (Caissie); his daughters, Nicole Cormier (Fernand Duplessis) and Jeannine Cormier (Mathieu Léger) of Bouctouche; his grandchildren, Jamie, Janelle, Joslain, Robert and Tyler; and his siblings, Marguerite Landry of Bouctouche Cove, Alban (Rose-Mai) of Bouctouche, Jean-Paul (Yvette) of Bouctouche, Alfred of Bouctouche, Johnny of Bouctouche and David Goguen of Bouctouche. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
