She was predeceased by: her husband Yvon Maillet; her parents, Arthur Richard and Georgina Richard (Caissie); and her siblings, Rita, Angeline, Lucienne, Mederic and Eugène.
She is survived by: her children, Lisette Surette (Adrien) of Saint-Gregoire, Catherine Allain (Jean-Paul) of Rimouski, QC, Jacques (Mélisa) of Mundleville, Luc (Aurella) of Saint-Thomas, Claire Maillet (Jean-Marc) of Saint-Paul and Désiré (Florence) of Cocagne; and her nephews, Georges of Rogersville and Gerald (Antoinette). She is also survived by her sixteen grandchildren, her twenty great grandchildren and her four great great grandchildren.
In Janita's memory, donations may be made to Children's Wish Foundation or NB Mental Health Association.
