He was predeceased by: his spouse Jeannine Girouard (Bourgeois); his parents, Pius Girouard and Edna Girouard (Cormier); and his siblings, Louisa, Tilda, Adelard and Fred.
He is survived by: his daughter France Girouard (Léo Richard) of Bouctouche; his stepdaughters, Julie Saulnier (Mathieu) of Memramcook and Miguelle Doyle (George) of Charlottetown, PEI; and his sisters, Juliette Girouard of Bouctouche and Anise Robinson (Ewen) of Ottawa. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
