He was predeceased by: his parents, Gonzague Caissie and Imelda Caissie (Gallant); his son Fernand; and his siblings, Gisèle, Olia, Stella, Carmella, Valmond, Léo, Clarence, Roméo, Joe, Blaire, Omer and Gil.
He is survived by: his wife Carmella Caissie (Richard); his daughter Joanne Caissie (Ronald) of Dieppe; his grandson Jerrid; and his siblings, Germaine Goguen of Maynard, MA and Emery (Jeannine) of Fitchburg, MA. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
In Ernest's memory, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
