He was predeceased by: his parents, Alyre Bastarache and Hélèna Bastarache (LeBlanc); his former wife Jeannine Hébert; his daughters, Sherry Lynn and Jackie; and his siblings, Annette, Harry, Jean-Paul and Cowboy.

He is survived by: his wife Joan Bastarache (Landry); his children, Denise Collette (Joe), Natalie Bastarache, Gerard (Cécile), Paul and Brian (Brenda) of Saint-Gregoire; his grandchildren, Julien, Martine, Danielle, Mathieu, Melissa, Dominic, Annie, Tyler and Patrick; and his son-in-law Claude Cormier. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
