He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Maillet and Dina Maillet (Cormier); and his siblings, Noëlla, Marguerite, Rita, Gérard, Alphonse and Hervé.

He is survived by: his wife Angéline; his children, Gisèle Maillet Bordeleau (Michel) of Bouctouche Bay, Gilles of Épiphanie, QC, Claude of Vernon, BC, Jean-Guy (Chantal) of Maskinongé, QC and Daniel of Bouctouche; his grandchildren, Mandy, Guylaine, Jamie, Marie-Claude, Alexandre and Eric; his great grandchildren, Alyssa, Quin, Ameerah, Coulson, Zachary, Loïc and Mikael; and his siblings, Thérèse LeBlanc, Marie Smith of Moncton, Yvon (Janita), Albéo (Dorine) of Bouctouche and André of Waltham, MA. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
