He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Bastarache and Amanda Savoie of St-Maurice; his grandson René Bastarache; his children-in-law, Ginette Bastarache and Jean-Claude Jaillet; and his siblings, Yvon, Hervé, Isaac, Roméo, Adelard, Aurèle and Anita.
He is survived by: his wife Bernice (Cormier); his children, Linda Bastarache, Simonne Jaillet and Charles Bastarache (Stella MacDonald); his grandchildren, Denis LeBlanc (Farrah), Julie LeBlanc (Michel Robichaud) and Melissa Jaillet Cormier (Marcel); his great grandchildren, André LeBlanc, Simon Richard, Cédric and Audrée Cormier; and his siblings, Lilliane Bourque (late Ulysses) of Shediac, Huberte Cormier (late Edgar) of Sainte-Marie, Norma Robichaud (Eddie) of Saint-Louis de Kent and Gérard Bastarache (Bernice) of Mississauga, Ontario.. He is also survived by several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
