He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Sutherland and Jean Sutherland; his son Christopher; and his siblings, Ruth, Maureen and Johnny.
He is survived by: his close friend Patricia Courchesne; and his children, Karen (Matt), Leslie, Kevin and Daniel (Alissa). He is also survived by five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren.
