He was predeceased by: his parents, John H. LaPointe and Rosella LaPointe (Hickey); his wife Elva LaPointe (Welch); and his sister Beth. He is survived by: his children, Elvis LaPointe (Joy), John LaPointe and Kelly LaPointe (Mell); his siblings, Mary Ann, Gabriel, Lisa, Donna, Adrien, Bernadette, Rose-ann and Russell; and his grandchildren, Jamey, Niko, Nikita, Crystal and Kirk. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.
