He was predeceased by: his parents, Delmas Porter and Iva Porter; his daughter Lisa Porter; his granddaughter Ashley Porter; his sibling Sharon Way (Seth) of Lawrence Porter; and his brother-in-law Ray McIntosh.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Whitehouse of Bedell; his daughters, Sherry Porter (Jason Goodine) of Temple and Shelley Keary (Calvin) of Hartland; his grandchildren, Sierra Keary, Sydnie Keary (Brett Jones), Ella Keary and Eric Giggie; and his siblings, Phyllis Johnston (Reg) of Moonstone, ON, Jack Porter (Jeannie) of Woodstock, Linda McIntosh of Campbell Settlement and Wayne Porter (Anne) of Calgary, AB. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
