He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas Arthur and Thelma Bernice Godwin (Marshall); his grandparents, Ethan Godwin, Hayley Godwin and Jillian; his wife Barbara; his brother David Lorne; and his grandson Matthew Godwin.
He is survived by: his children, Krista McKnight, Larry Godwin (Sharon), Candace Nice, David Godwin (Alisha) and Christopher Godwin (Stephanie); his sister Judy Hayward; his siblings-in-law, Patsy Johnston, Patricia Johnston and Joseph Johnston; his grandchildren, Joshua Godwin, Natasha, Chantal, Olivia Godwin and Luke Godwin; and also, Rick McKnight and Jonathan Nice. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
