He was predeceased by: his parents, James Roussel and Anna LeBreton; and his siblings, André Roussel, Livain Roussel and Flora Smith.

He is survived by: his wife Anne-Marie Roussel; his son Jean-Pierre Roussel of Bathurst; his adoptive son Jacques Roussel of Montreal; and his siblings, Armeline Hachey (Sylvain) of Bertrand, François Roussel (Louise) of Tracadie, Eliane Roussel of Val Doucet and Alyre Roussel (Diane) of Val Doucet.

Donations in memory of Yvon may be made to the Canadian Cancer society.
