William Raymond Hicks Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 17, 2025, at the age of 87, William Raymond Hicks of Bathurst, New Brunswick passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Hicks and Alice Hicks (Anderson); and his sister Rachel Murray (Lysle). He is survived by: his wife Marilyn (Hovey); his children, James Hicks (Judy) of Hoyt, NB, Janet Hicks of Fredericton, NB, Peter Hicks (Heather) of Fredericton, NB and Sharon Simpson (Drew); his grandchildren, Katie Hicks, Jelisa Hicks, Cameron Dunphy (Justin), Benjamin Smith, Clay Smith, Aidan Hicks, Caleb Hicks, Grace Simpson, Sterling Simpson and Laughlin Simpson; his stepgrandchildren, Zachary, Kristen, Kyle and Joel; his foster daughter Joanne Brooks; and his sister Sandra Barnhill (Bruce) of Sackville, NB. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the McAdam's Funeral Home (160 York St, Fredericton, NB E3B3N7). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the J. A. McAdam Memorial Chapel (160 York St, Fredericton, NB E3B3N7).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Bill's memory to Hospice House, New Building Fund - Brunswick Street Baptist Church, and Fredericton Community Kitchen.
