He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmond Chiasson and Phoebe Chiasson (Mallet); and his siblings, Aurele (late Violet), Stanley, Telesphore, Albany (late Claudette), Billy (Mel), Laurier "Red", Amy (Felix Frigault) and Adele (late Donald Daigle).

He is survived by: his wife Glenda Chiasson (Doucet); his children, Sonya (Britney York) of Bathurst, Natalie Chiasson (Paul Henry) of Quebec and Mark Chiasson (Chantal Marion) of Dieppe; his grandchildren, Emma and Tristan Henry of Quebec; and his siblings, Jack (late Angie) of Montreal, PQ, Jimmy (Linda) of Bathurst, Gilbert (Debbie) of Bathurst, Cletus (Betty) of Bathurst, Jarvis (Cathy) of Bathurst, Isabelle (late Gerald Roy) of Bathurst, Sylvia (Camille Daigle) of Bathurst and Yvette (Roger Hachey) of Bathurst.
