He was predeceased by: his spouse Eliane Jenkins (Cormier) of Bathurst; his parents, Aloysius Jenkins and Sarah Jenkins (Daigle); his siblings, Macrina, Marina and Cyril; and his stepfather Fred Arsenault.

He is survived by: his children, Gayle Jenkins (Craig Butt) of Halifax, David Jenkins of Kelowna, BC, Jackie Jenkins (late Ross Copeland) of Bathurst, Charlene Jenkins (John Simpson) of Calgary, AB and Michele Jenkins of Ocala; his grandchildren, Spencer Saulnier, Jennie Jenkins and James Jenkins; his siblings, Blaine Jenkins (Lillian) of Nelson, Floyd Jenkins (Cathy) of Lewiston and Sheila Burden (Gordon) of Miramichi; and his stepsiblings, Gary Arsenault (Cindy) of Miramichi and Gloria Arsenault of Miramichi.
