He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Chiasson and Albina Boudreau; and his siblings, Adelle Roy, Jeannette Basque, Simonne Chiasson, Mabel Chiasson, Raymond, Xavier and Patrick.

He is survived by: his wife Marguerite Blanchard; and his siblings, Jean-Claude Chiasson (Aline) of Allardville and Carmella Vienneau (late Gérald) of Bathurst. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
