He was predeceased by: his parents, William Christie and Adelina Christie (Chiasson); and his siblings, Mayda, Dora, Albina, Anita, Eva, Gilbert, Allie, Kenneth, Leonard, Aurele, Vincent, William Jr., Alban and Raymond.

He is survived by: his spouse Delima "Del" Poirier; his daughters, Debbie Lawrence (late Mark Lawrence) and Wendy Christie (Troy Clayton); his stepchildren, Diane Imbeault (Mark Schmidt) of Halifax, Robert Imbeault of Kamloops and Gerald Imbreault of Moncton; his grandchildren, David, Brendan, Christie, Anahid and Nora; his stepgrandson Briley; his great grandchildren, Greyson, Walker, Maeve, Caroline and Mark; and his siblings, Emile (Nicole) and Lorraine Doucet of Bathurst. He is also survived by animals and gatherings with friends and family.
