He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia "T. C."; his parents, Eldon Melanson and Helen Melanson (Bertin); and his siblings, Olga Calnan, Jeanette O'Neil, Causetta, Albert, Edward and Alfred.
He is survived by: his children, Shirley Shaw of Calgary, AB, Bobby (Brenda) of Whitehorse, YT., Barry (Chris) of Duncan, BC, Eric (Susan) of Bathurst, Keith of Bathurst and Jason (Amie) of Bathurst; his grandchildren, Ryan, Shelby, Greg, Brandi, Danie, Tristin, Tanner, Mitchel, Nicholas and Anthony; his sisters, Marion Kerr (Wesley), Isabel Frigault (late Gilbert) and Theresa DeGrace (Kenneth); and his sisters-in-law, Carol O'Neil and Judy Melanson.
A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Family Church (430 St Peter Ave, Bathurst, NB E2A2Y2).
Donations in memory of Franklin may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
