He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Petrie and Catherine Petrie (Lavigne); and his siblings, Eva (Leo Malley), Clara (Anthony Melanson), William (Bill), Lillian Petrie, Violet (Vi), Lawney Babin (Lillian) and Gratton Hazel.
He is survived by: his close friends, Mellie (Daley), Kathy (Dale), Dale (Helen), Suzan (Tim), Sheryl Anne (Christopher), Karen (Neil), Wendy (Bob) and Peter; his grandchildren, Jennifer (Shawn), Scott (Angie), Jill (Brendan), Chris (Veronique), Jeffrey (Carolyn), Patrick (Elizabeth), Greg (Ashley), Jessica (Chris), Jake (Nicole), Trevor, Mary-Catherine (Kyle), Angela and Sebastian; his great grandchildren, Matthew, Abigail, Makayla, Kaelyn, Allyson, Carson, Colin, Eva, Zoey, Reid, Max, Colton, Bryce, Neil and Liam; and also, Theresa Buchanan, Ron Daley (Mary) and Mary Daley-Pealer. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
