He was predeceased by: his parents, James Joseph "Jimmy" Young and Josephine Young (Lavigne); and his siblings, Irving, Gerald, Kenneth, George, Odis, Silverina, Marjorie and Isabella.
He is survived by: his wife Carmella Smearer (LaCroix); his children, Kevin Young, Kim Chamberlain (Michael), Laura Lee Smearer (John Furlong) and Ashley Smearer (Rachel Losier); his grandchildren, Jennifer, Meagan, Patrick, Jonathan and Vanessa; his great grandchild Jace; and his niece Sally Ellis (Young). He is also survived by several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and friends.
Donations in memory of Charles can be made to the Alzheimer's Society, SPCA or a charity of the donor's choice.
