She was predeceased by: her parents, Rufus Knowles and Bella Knowles (Jagoe); her husband Ivan; her sons, Brian and Bert; and her siblings, Isalee Dempsey (late Thomas), Vesta Ramsay (late William), Helen Sealy (late Eldon), Bella Knowles, Evangeline Upham (late Ivan), Glendon Knowles (Muriel) and Morris Knowles.
She is survived by: her children, Irma Downing (Donald) of St. Leolin, Lorna Murty (Giles) of Salmon Beach, Bella Brown (Ken) of Surrey, B. C., Mitzi Whelton (Roland) of Upper Cape, NB, Louise Whalen (Craig) of Bathurst, Jodi Sullivan (Darrin) of Stittsville, ON and Tracy (Lee Ann) of Canobie; and her daughter-in-law Leeanna Morrison of Janeville.
Donations in memory of Alda may be made to the Anglican Parish of New Bandon or a charity of the donor's choice.
