It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wendell J. S. MacKenzie of Bannon, New Brunswick, who passed away on January 28, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Faughn Mackenzie and Sybil Mackenzie; his brothers, Maurice and Wayne; and his brother-in-law Stanley Clark.
He is survived by: his wife Villa MacKenzie of Bannon; his children, Dale MacKenzie (Melinna) of Grand Prairie, AB, John MacKenzie (Kathy Anderson) of Wilmot and Beth MacKenzie (James DeMerchant) of Somerville; his grandchildren, Adam MacKenzie, Thomas MacKenzie, Ann MacKenzie (Ashley Grey), Katherine Marchand, Claire MacKenzie (Chandler Tibbits), Connor MacKenzie, Brittney Tomah (Nathan Fowler), Hannah Kennedy, Jacob DeMerchant (Rachel Hopkins) and Amber DeMerchant (Jeremiah Clark); his great grandchildren, Brian Pike, Neaveh, Brooklyn, Allysa, Emet, Liam, Ellie, Austin, Jax and Sonny; his siblings, Gerald MacKenzie (Shirley), Clinton MacKenzie (Marilyn), Marilyn McElhinney (Robert), Gary MacKenzie (Darlene), Karyl MacKenzie (Betty), Brian MacKenzie (Donna) and Leonard MacKenzie (Ellen Stewart); and his siblings-in-law, Anna MacKenzie, Peggy MacKenzie, Gaynelle Clark and Edwin Clark (Marie). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid 19 restrictions a private family visitation will be held at the Britton Funeral Home, 2 High Street Hartland.
