He was predeceased by: his parents, Annie Holmes and Fred Hathaway; his son Scotty Holmes; and his siblings, Marie, Winifred, Clarence and Donald Giberson.
He is survived by: his wife Vivian Holmes (Watson); his children, Lori Holmes of Bairdsville, NB, Danny Holmes of Terrace, BC and Shawn Holmes (Trisha) of Terrace, BC; his grandchildren, Jenny, Haley, Darnell, Harlan, Cole, Tianna, Christopher, Lukas and Jonathan; and his great grandchildren, Carter, Delilah, Ennis, Nenna, Ashton and Bowan.
