He was predeceased by: his parents, Sarah Varner (Lantz) and Claude Varner; his former wife Sandra (Taylor); and his son Dana. He is survived by: his wife Ivy Varner (White); his children, Stephen and Stephanie (Andrew); his stepdaughter Kerry; his grandchildren, Lauryn (Seth), Brooke, Sydney, Alexander and Charlee; his aunt Jean West; and his sisters, Ruth, Joanne and Heather (John). He is also survived by brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; many cousins, nieces, nephews.
In Sydney's memory, donations to a charity of the, donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
