In loving memory of Shirley Wilcox (Back Bay, New Brunswick), who departed this world on February 9, 2025 at the age of 76. Shirley leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnney Leavitt and Florence Leavitt (McGarrigle); her significant other Allison L. Wilcox; her granddaughter Allison; and her brother Aldon.
She is survived by: her children, Faith Watson (Scotty) of Saint John, NB, Timothy Wilcox (Heidi Conrod) of Utopia, NB, Tony Wilcox (Rose) of Pennfield, NB, Jonathan Wilcox (Trevor) of Digdeguash, NB and Tabatha Cooke (Jeff) of Pennfield, NB; her grandchildren, Brittany, Kateland, Joseph, Alison, Casey, Alexander, Logan and Alyson; her great grandchildren, Ava and Christopher; her siblings, Jerry Leavitt (Carol) of Back Bay, NB, Gary Leavitt (Cindy) of Back Bay, NB, Janet Henderson (Brad) of Seeleys Cove, NB and Martha Hawkes of Blacks Harbour, NB; her in-laws, Doug Wilcox of Utopia, Sandra Harris (Roger) of Utopia, Elaine Scovil of Hampton, NB and Diana Vance (Wayne) of Canal, NB; her close friend Kernal; and also Miko Leavitt of Letang. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sea View Full Gospel Church (195 Back Bay Loop Rd, Back Bay, NB E5C2W3). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In Shirley's memory, donations to The Diabetes Association, New Brunswick Heart and Stroke, The IWK, or a charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
