He was predeceased by: his mother Iola Mae Gillespie; his daughter Joy Gillespie; and his brother-in-law Bill Berg. He is survived by: his wife Faith Mitchell-Gillespie; his daughters, Danielle Gillespie (Jerome) of Tennessee and Brittany Gillespie (Corey) of Tennessee; his stepchildren, Raelene Wright (Michael) of Canal, NB, Mitchell Borthwick of Back Bay, Joshua Clemente of Florida and Erika Angulo (Alvaro) of South Carolina; his grandchildren, Kylie Bussell of Tennessee and Rory Wright of Canal, NB; his father John Gillespie (Lorraine Wauchula) of Florida; his siblings, Gil Gillespie of Georgia, Dave Gillespie (Nancy) of Florida and Michelle Berg of Georgia; and his niece Sarah Kramme (Jared) of Florida. He is also survived by in-laws, extended family and by many good friends.

In Bruce's memory, donations to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
