He was predeceased by: his parents, William Colin Francis McNeil of Sydney Mines, NS and Madelyn Josephine Giberson of Arthurette, NB.; and his sister Brenda McNeil. He is survived by: his wife Iris Phyllis Cooper of Odell, NB; his children, Cheryl Ann Sadler (John) of Perth-Andover, NB, Shelley Ashford (David) of Perth-Andover, NB, Stanley McNeil (Ruby Parsons) of Fredericton, NB, Christopher McNeil (Colleen McCarthy) of Winnipeg, MB and Susan McNeil (Kevin Graber) of Surrey, BC; and his nephew Luke Cooper (Tammy Gamblin) of Odell, NB. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Due to the outbreak of Covid-19, a date for his memorial service and committal service will be announced at a later date.
