He was predeceased by: his parents, Jean-Baptiste Gallant and Eveline Gallant (Robichaud); and his siblings, Semida, Bertha, Alice, Eva, Arthur, François, Josephat and Dolphée.

He is survived by: his wife Léonice Gallant (Gaudet) of St-Louis; his daughters, Annette Carter (John) of Fredericton and Tina Arsenault (Norman) of Maynard; his grandchildren, Tiffany Brewer of Fredericton, Cory Arsenault (Desi) of Virginia, USA, Monique Arsenault of Florida, USA and Matthew Carter (Tara) of Ottawa, ON; his great grandchildren, Taylor of Fredericton, Brayden of Fredericton, Kaleb of Fredericton and Camryn of Ottawa; his sisters, Yvonnice Daigle (late Paul) of Aldouane, Anna Daigle (François) of St-Ignace, Marie-Louise Landry (late Norman) of Moncton and Rita Pellerin (Ben) of St. Louis; and his siblings-in-law, Eloi Doiron of Richibucto, Hélène Gallant of Ontario and Linda. He is also survived by many nieces and, nephews.
