He was predeceased by: his former wife Patricia Orban; his parents, Andrew Orban and Elizabeth Orben; and his siblings, Margret Nag, Irene Baker, Doreen Billson and Walter Orban.
He is survived by: his wife Kay Orban; his daughters, Elsie (Derrick) and Diana (Mark); and his grandchildren, Kevin, Brennan, Caitlyn and Donovan.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Alex's name, to Juvenile Diabetes Manitoba, Funds for Furry Friends in Brandon, or the Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba.
