It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Susie Blatz (Winnipeg, Manitoba), who passed away on January 25, 2025, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let her loved ones carry forward the torch of her memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of her love and the brilliance of her spirit. Though Susie may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was predeceased by: her husband Abe; and her daughter Donna. She is survived by: her son Melvin (Susie); her grandchildren, Rose (Rod), Melanie (Ted), Christine (Ross), Arlene (Trevor) and Bob (Carolyn); and her sisters, Sadie Petkau and Mary Brennan. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Glen Lawn Funeral Home (455 Lagimodiere Blvd, Winnipeg, MB R2J4J4).
