She was predeceased by: her husband Derrol F. Ward; her children, Derrol W. Ward and Kimberly Ward-Merkl; her grandson Tommy Ward-Merkl; her brothers-in-law, Dave Cowley, Gus Lodewyks and Vernon McCormack; her niece Cathy VanNest; her nephew Kurt Eby; her parents, Rita Lamblin and Pierre Lamblin; her in-laws, Ellen and Horace Ward; and also Finnley Van Nest.
She is survived by: her children, Steven (Anita), Lori (Garry Funk), David and Kelly (Brenda); her son-in-law Tony Merkl; her adoptive daughter Allison Cass (Barry); her siblings, Cecile Cowley, Marilyn Lodewyks, Doreen (Walter Eby) and Robert (Mary Lamblin); her sisters-in-law, Florence McCormack and Eleanor Ward; and her grandchildren, Erin (Daniel), Connor (Davilyn), Chloe (Santiago), Jeffrey, Kyle (Neelam), Matthew (Navi), Shawn (Charlene), Devon (Jennifer), Jamie Lee, Ashley and Jason. She is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews and their partners, great-grandchildren, and great nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the St. Alphonsus RC Church (315 Munroe Ave, Winnipeg, MB R2K1H2).
