She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerard Appel and Pieternella Appel; her husband Charlie; and her parents-in-law, Harry and Marion Skomorowski.

She is survived by: her sons, Fraser (Tina), Aaron (Marcy), Warren (Rhea) and Tyson (Victoria); her grandchildren, Zackery (Shannon), Rebecca, Emily, Teah, Keelah, Brix, Domonik, Max, Teagan and Larisa; her brother Theo; her nephews, Stanley and Kevin; her niece Maureen; her sisters-in-law, Norma and Helen; her niece Georgi (Deji); and her great-niece Grace.
