He was predeceased by: his parents, Jean and Alf; and his brothers, Bruce and Gary (Frances). He is survived by: his wife Linda; his siblings, Brian (Joanne) and Kathleen; his sister-in-law Frances; his father-in-law Ed; his brother-in-law Gordon (Angie); his nieces, Adrienne, Lauren, Holly (Nelson), Maria, Robyn (Jamie) and Monica (Stephen); his nephew Eric; and his brother Rick.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rick's memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
