John Harris Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Harris (Winnipeg, Manitoba), who passed away on April 23, 2023. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his siblings, Bill, Henry, Teenie, Mary, Nick, Margaret, Gertie, Jack and George (Joe); and his former wife Evelyn Ruth Harris.

He is survived by: his children, Colleen Harris (Brian), Randy Harris (Karen), Eleanor Fritschy (Harry), Sylvia Clement (Cliff), Cindy Suyker (Henry), Gwen Van Dorp (Bill), Kathy Gullickson (Doug), Reg Harris (Marg), Monica Ablonczy (Del Nikoleychuk) and Karen Halma (Jack); his grandchildren, Kelsey Clelland (Kevin), Brenley Herdt (Harold), Phil Harris (Amy), Andrea Harris, Tara Fritschy, Nikki Walker (Scott), Michelle Buckle (Matt), Melinda Gwozdzinski (Daniel), Marissa Fritschy, Justine Shields (Kellan), Ted Bakkum, Adam Van Dorp, Clint Van Dorp (Darcy), Jolene Van Dorp, Erica Ray (Tyler), Corinne Harris, Sam Harris (Jenn), Kirsten Ablonczy, Tannis Sloane (Taylor), Lindsay Ablonczy, Kristina Guerette (Jesse), Courtney Halma, James Halma (Leah) and Joel Halma (Carina); his wife Trudy; and his stepchildren, Peggy Loewen (David), Wendy Kroeker (Ron), Karen Hirst (Brent) and Jeffry Erhardt (Tracy). He is also survived by children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
