He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley; his daughter Gail; his parents, Charlie Heintz and Christina Heintz; and his siblings, Lena, Chris and Katie.
He is survived by: his children, Duane (Joan), David, Dianna (Gerry), Brian and Barbara (Dale); and his sister Lillian Dewar. He is also survived by his 13 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.
Due to COVID restrictions there will be a private family graveside service at a later date.
