Barbara Irene Whitla Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara Irene Whitla (Winnipeg, Manitoba), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 19, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid Barbara Irene farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Barbara Irene is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

She was predeceased by: her husband Doug; her parents, Mollie Ives and Charlie Ives; and her parents-in-law, Fred and Eileen Whitla.

She is survived by: her sons, Todd (Laurel) and Robb (Jackie); and her grandchildren, Madison, Brett (Luke), Shane and Quinn.

A private family celebration of Barbara's life will be held, and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba, 533A – 715 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3E 1M6.
