He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy; his sibling Frank (Bruna); and his parent Joseph. He is survived by: his children, Debra Zier-Vogel (Chris) and Rick (Jo-Anne); his grandchildren, Amanda (John), Jennifer (Jared), Justin (Stephanie), Matthew (Krystal), Ryan (Heather) and Andrew (Kayla); his great grandchildren, Colby, Kaelyn, Charlotte, Emmett and Avenya; his siblings, Theodore and Walter; and his parent Marcella.
