He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Rice and Robert Rice; and his siblings, Robert Rice, Edward Rice, Mary Hedges and Helen Rice.

He is survived by: his grandmother Lindley Rice; his children, Steven Rice (Vivian), Patrick Rice (Jennifer), Mark Chalmers (Debbie), Shelley Loreen Hildebrand (Dave), Alisa Seydel (Harvey) and Alana Martin; his grandchildren, Cameron, Kevin Rice, Katie Scarlett Overwater, Allister John Ledrew (Joani) and Sara Morgan Seydel; his great grandchild Hailey Angela Ledrew; and his nieces, Linda (Craig), Mary Ellen and Donna.
