Lydia Labun Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lydia Labun of Winkler, Manitoba, born in Coaldale, Alberta, who passed away on November 20, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Loewen and Helen Loewen; her former husband Dr. Clarence Labun; her husband Sam Cooke; and her sisters, Helen, Martha and Esther.

She is survived by: her siblings, Anne, Henry, Tom, Ruth (Waldo), Naomi, Jace (Elvira), Abe (Iona) and David; her children, Andrew (Carolyn) and Doris; and her grandchildren, Sam, Katrina (Mark), Emily, Oonagh (Everett), Finola and Philip. She is also survived by her many siblings and cousins.

When Alzheimer's began to affect Lydia, she moved to Kelowna, British Columbia in 2013, to be near her son.
