Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Guenter Strempler of Winkler, Manitoba, who passed away at the age of 87, on November 3, 2024. He was predeceased by: his parents, Heinrich Strempler and Melita Strempler (Krueger); his wife Elizabeth Neufeld of Steinbach; his siblings, Kurt and Ingrid Cornies; his sister-in-law Maggie Strempler; his sister Ruth (Art Janz); his sisters-in-law, Neta (Pete Neufeld), Helen (Cornie Friesen), Margaret (Jakob Dyck) and Tina Hildebrand; his nephews, Pete Neufeld, Henry Neufeld, Heinz Dyck and Menno Friesen; and his niece Margaret Fedrau.
He is survived by: his daughter Damaris (Guenter); his grandchildren, Hilde, Dave, Nichole (Nathan), Rudy and Renee (Jordan); his brothers, Erwin (George Epp) and Gerry (Irene); and his brothers-in-law, Alf Cornies and Abe Hildebrand. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the Wiebe Funeral Home - Winkler (121 8 St, Winkler, MB R6W0M1). A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Green Acres Cemetery (1 Green Acres Ln, Navin, MB R5T0H2). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Douglas Mennonite Church (1517 Rothesay St, Winnipeg, MB R2G3G5).
